A solid sterling silver bee, handmade in England and hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office. Each bee is finished by hand, so the wings catch the light and the body carries the soft polish you only get from real silver rather than plate.

Handmade in England

This bee necklace is made in our own workshop, not bought in and rebranded. Every piece is sent to the Birmingham Assay Office to be independently tested and hallmarked as 925 sterling silver, so you know exactly what you're wearing. Solid silver throughout — no plating to wear away.

Choosing your chain length

The bee comes on a 1.5mm sterling silver belcher chain in four lengths, so you can sit it where you want it:

16" / 41cm — sits at the base of the neck
18" / 46cm — just below the collarbone, our most popular length
20" / 51cm — sits on the chest, good for layering
22" / 56cm — longer drop, works well over knitwear

Caring for your silver bee

Sterling silver naturally darkens over time. A gentle polish with a silver cloth brings it straight back. Take it off before swimming, showering or applying perfume, and store it in its box when you aren't wearing it. Full guidance is on our jewellery care page.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Sterling silver is generally well tolerated. It's 92.5% pure silver with no nickel added.

How big is the bee?
12mm wide by 15mm tall — a considered, wearable size rather than a statement piece, roughly the width of a fingernail.

Can I buy the bee as a pendant only?

Do you make it in gold?
Yes — the same bee is available 18ct gold plated.
